Vaping

Vaping among our young people – middle school & high school age -continues to rise across the country. Astonishing, CDC reports youth usage of disposable vaping products is up 2188% since 2019. Reducing usage, particularly of unregulated e-cigarettes and vapes manufactured in China, is critical for the long term health of our young people. The Council’s Education Committee brought forth the following proclamation urging the FDA / Federal Government to regulate and block the import of dangerous, kid friendly flavors that have poured into the US in recent years. Thanks to Mayor Norton and the entire Council for supporting this important issue and advocating to help protect our youth.
